For a truly unforgettable and life-changing experience, our extended study tours are unique and provide expert analysis from a broad range of perspectives. Internationals are invited to join these tours that range from eight to eleven days, depending upon the theme.
EXTENDED STUDY TOURS — 18 – 28 March and 4 – 14. November 2019. A ten-day tour for professionals from the fields of mental health and social work will take place at the end of October and is being done in conjunction with the UK and USA – Palestine Mental Health Network.
Bookings are now being taken for March and the itinerary will include close to thirty visits thus facilitating an outstanding opportunity for engagement with both Palestinians and Israelis.
ICAHD’s extended study tours go beyond the traditional tourist sites as the political realities that affect Palestinians and Israelis are explored. Participants witness the situation on both sides of the divide and travel to different geographical areas. Unique opportunities are provided to gain first-hand, in-depth knowledge and some of the latest analysis on unfolding developments in this region. Participants also meet extensively with Palestinians to hear their stories.
Internationals who join these tours have the opportunity to receive an overview of some of the main issues facing a population living under occupation – house demolitions, displacement, education, water discrimination, child detainees, lack of freedom of movement, women’s issues and the psychological impact that results. Discrimination within the state of Israel, the refugee issue and stories from the Nakba are also included. Hear from Israelis who work for the end of the Occupation, who oppose their government’s violation of international law and call for a just solution that will provide civil rights for all.
