14.-24. November 2016
For a truly unforgettable and life-changing experience, our uniquely in-depth tours will give you expert analysis from a broad range of perspectives. ICAHD’s tours are also partnered with the Open Bethlehem initiative.
Our alternative tours programme includes in-depth study tours which go beyond the traditional tourist sites as the political realities that affect Palestinians and Israelis are explored. Participants witness the situation on both sides of the divide and travel to different geographical areas. Unique opportunities are provided to meet ICAHD staff and other key leaders to gain first-hand, in-depth knowledge and some of the latest analysis. Participants also meet extensively with Palestinians to hear their stories.
Participants have the opportunity to gain an overview of some of the main issues facing a population living under occupation – house demolitions, displacement, education, water discrimination, child detainees, lack of freedom of movement, women’s issues and the psychological impact that results. Discrimination within the state of Israel, the refugee issue and stories from the Nakba are also included. Hear from Israelis who work for the end of the Occupation, who oppose their government’s violation of international law and call for a just solution that will provide civil rights for all.
Those who join these study tours are responsible for independently booking their own flights. Participants meet in Jerusalem at a designated location for the start of the tour.

“An overwhelming experience, in which one sees both the best and the worst of the human condition compressed into such a tiny region in space and time. One of the best things I have ever done.” T J – New Zealand
“I can’t imagine any way to spend ten days in the Occupied Territories and get a better or more valuable insight into what the Western media isn’t telling us about the plight of the Palestinian people.” N S – Australia
“I have read extensively on the subject but nothing could prepare me for what I witnessed. It also provided me the knowledge and confidence to publicly speak on the issue and spread the message from the Occupied Palestinian territories whenever the opportunity presents itself.” M E – Canada
“As someone with a long-standing interest in this conflict, I came with a good background but learned a lot of things I didn’t know and filled in a massive amount of detail. I would thoroughly recommend this Study Tour to anyone interested.” MS – England
